- They are common in the Central Kalahari, Khomas, Otjozondjupa, Oshikoto and Ohangwena areas of Namibia
- They are perfectly adapted to savannah and bush areas as well as shrub & grasslands
- In the midday heat, hartebeest bulls like to graze in open areas
- The best time to hunt a hartebeest bull is at sunrise and sunset
- The best chance to find a mature bull is a walk&stalk-hunt
